The Study Committee is the state's largest nonprofit, grassroots organization dedicated to economic diversification in Nevada. Founded in the early 1980's by Las Vegas professional and business people, the Committee's membership has soared from 300 to over 15,000. The Study Committee believes that Nevada must broaden its economic base, and that the Nevada Test Site, particularly the Yucca Mountain Project, provides the state with a unique opportunity to accomplish this. The Study Committee believes that the only way to protect the health and safety of every Nevadan is to ensure that Yucca Mountain's suitability is determined after a thorough and valid scientific study. Please take a moment to complete the form below. You will receive a free, biannual newsletter about progress at Yucca Mountain. If you agree to become a Study Committee volunteer, you will be given the opportunity to advocate economic benefits for Nevada by communicating, either directly or through media, with elected officials. We will encourage you to express your views to Congressmen, the Governor of Nevada, the media, and even the President through letters and e-mail messages. Participation in the Study Committee does not require monetary contribution, and you are under no obligation to participate in any Study Committee activity.

scientific studies of Yucca Mountain, negotiating for benefits for Nevada,
and promoting better education on the issues associated with the scientific
studies of Yucca Mountain. Please fill out the following form:
